Here is my addition to the blacklist... Unfortunately, the school complained about posts on Dave's ESL and all mention of them has been deleted. So, we are posting elsewhere.
Stay away from the WELTON SCHOOL in Yongin-Si, just outside Bundang. They have fired 2 teachers (including me,) for being sick. I was ill for 2 days with laryngitis and was given notice. Many illegal deductions were made from my last pay. They do not and will not pay pension.
The other girl was fired, without notice, and locked out of her apartment. Four other teachers have quit, 3 within the last 2 months. It is a miserable place to work, and I think their record with their teachers and teachers' aides speaks for itself. The turn-around is unbelievable, even for a hagwan. I feel lucky to have been fired!
If you are offered a job with them, speak with present and past teachers. The money sounds good, but it's not worth the hassle or the stress.
